Linnanes company Upenn.ie said that upenn has the largest database of online knowledge in the world.
It includes information on everything from languages and music, to history, culture and economics.
Upenn is currently recruiting for an online team of 10 people to help manage the site.
Mr Linnans vision for the future is to bring the online world closer to its users.
He hopes that the company will be able to provide more personalized services and services for businesses and individuals.
Mr Mihaly Lyda, the managing director of Upenn, said Upenn aims to become a knowledge hub, and the company aims to build a network of information providers in the future.
“We are looking at it from a business perspective and as an entertainment platform, but the same thing,” he said.
“It is an opportunity to build an online platform that people will enjoy and that will help them with their everyday tasks.”
