In the last year, the UK has ranked among the worst in the globe for air quality, according to the World Health Organisation.
The worst air was recorded in Wales, which has the highest level of PM2.5 particles.
It is also one of only four countries in the UK to be in the top 10 of the most polluted cities.
Britain has also fallen one place in the index of the UK’s ability to meet national and international standards.
The average PM2-level in the country is 5.6 micrograms per cubic metre.
